Medicinal uses: Treats cystitis, gout and rheumatism.
Culinary uses: Add crushed berries to sauces, marinades, stuffing and gin.
Magical properties: A sprig is said to prevent accidents, place in the home to protect against thieves, add to sachets to draw loving vibrations, carry berries to aid weight loss.
Growing: Exposed sunny site, alkaline or neutral soil, harvest berries in late summer.
CAUTION: Do not ingest if pregnant or suffering from a kidney complaint.
