Gender: Hot, Masculine.
Folklore: One of nine sacred Anglo Saxon herbs, powerful against evil, mentioned in the Ebers Papurus.
Medicinal uses: Digestive aid, relieves cramps and gas, good expectorant for coughs and colds, improves appetite, relieves stiff painful joints. Essential Oil is good for bruises, mature complexions, cellulite, asthma, bronchitis, colic,
anorexia, flatulence, nausea and menopausal problems.
Culinary uses: Sauces, fish dishes, breads, salads, sandwiches or roasted with vegetables.
Magical properties: Longevity, courage, purification.
CAUTION: Essential oil is narcotic in large doses, Do not use bitter fennel on skin, Do not use oil on pregnant women or epileptics.
