Botanical Name: Allium sativum.
Gender: Hot, Masculine.
Deities: Hecate, Cybele.
Folklore: Long used for its medicinal properties. Said to protect against Vampires and other negative entities.
Medicinal uses: Prevents high blood pressure and cholesterol. Reduces risk of cancer, regulates blood sugar and prevents risk of infectious disease.
Culinary uses: Add to breads, sauces, dips, curries, fish, pasta, a highly versatile ingredient.
Magical properties: Protection, exorcism, safe water travel.
Growing: Sunny or partial shade, rich, moist and well drained soil.
Essential oil: Taken internally in capsule form to treat gastrointestinal infections, urinary tract infections, and to fight infectious disease in general.
CAUTION: Do not consume if you are taking blood thinning medication.
